Terms & Conditions -

A minimum deposit of $30 is required to hold your booking date on all our hire items. The balance of the agreed hire price must be paid 14 days prior to the booking date unless agreed otherwise. A booking is not considered confirmed until the invoice is paid in full.

Access to the venue must be available at the agreed delivery and collection time. If access is not available an additional fee may be charged.

Please ensure that the entrance into the venue and set up location does not have sharp corners along the way or close walls/objects adjacent to the doors which will be used (this also applies to access through lifts), as some of our bigger items are 2.4m long and unable to bend. Please advise if there are many stairs (15+ steps) or vehicle parking to get into the venue is more than 40 meters, as some of our walls are very heavy and additional staff may need to be placed on the job. Our backdrops and hire props will only be set up in a place that is suitable. We have the right ​to cancel if access to the desired location is too difficult; unsuitable, unsafe or there is a risk to our property being damaged - in this instance refunds would not be offered.  A flat and even surface with little to no wind is need for setting up our backdrops outdoors.

If Mia Lee & Co Ltd have not been advised the location for the set up at the venue and cannot contact the customer, Mia Lee & Co Ltd will set up in a location they feel fits best.

Set up, delivery and collection times are an indication only however Mia Lee & Co Ltd will try their best to meet these times. It's advised to allow at least 2 hours prior to the event starting time. If the customer needs the set up to occur at a time closer to the event starting time the customer must communicate that to Mia Lee & Co Ltd to ensure it can be met. Mia Lee & Co Ltd can only agree to changes to these times if it is able to be met within our schedule, please note up to 20 bookings can be in our schedule for one day. If a change to times can not be met resulting in a cancelled booking we will refund based on our refund policy.

If our hired items are not available to be collected on or before the agreed collection time, an additional hire fee may be charged. This additional fee will be due within 7 days of the hire period.

Any loss or damage to the backdrop/hire props will be invoiced and due within 7 days of the hire period.

Should you require a backdrop to be moved during your event, this will cost an additional $100 to cover additional time and travel.

If backdrops are moved after set up, any damages incurred will be invoiced. Our paper flower walls are for indoor use only, if moved outdoors after we set up an additional fee will be charged.
None of our flower walls are waterproof and cannot be displayed outdoors, in the rain/wind or when the ground is damp (please discuss with Mia Lee & Co Ltd regarding Marquees).

If hire items are not collected in original condition additional fees may be charged.

Our letter/number tables have a non-fixed acrylic table top, it is the customers responsibility to insure the table, base letters/numbers are kept balanced and in a safe/stable position at all times with not too much weight placed on top. Mia Lee & Co Ltd will not be held responsible for any damages to goods placed on the table.

Mia Lee & Co Ltd accepts no liability for any direct or consequential damage, loss, or expense sustained or incurred by the customer, venue or any other parties when moving hire items, or using them inappropriately.

Refunds will not be offered for any cancellations within 14 days of the confirmed booking date. A 50% refund will be offered for any cancellations more than 14 days but less than 30 days from the confirmed booking date. Full refunds will be offered for cancellations more than 30 days from the confirmed booking date.

If an event is required to be cancelled due to Nationwide or Auckland COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, we must be given notice as soon as practically possible. 

We will refund 85% of the amount paid at that time and any outstanding amount will not be required to be paid by the client. An exception applies which is 15% of the total cost paid by the client will not be reimbursed or refunded. This cost will be our administrative costs. 

The client also has the option to postpone and reschedule the event at a day and time within 12 months of the original date, subject to agreement and availability by Mia Lee & Co Limted. 

Mia Lee & Co Ltd will not be held responsible for circumstances that may prevent us from attending your event. This can include, but are not limited to; severe weather conditions, major traffic delays, breakdown of our vehicles, natural disasters, equipment failure. In the case that we cannot attend or fulfil your hire due to events beyond our control, we will contact you or the venue as soon as possible. In these instances our liability will be limited to refunding hire amounts paid by you as the customer.

All items are for hire only - including custom signage boards and florals.
When a balloon garland is part of the hire package, the customer has the opportunity to keep this at the end of the event, if no-one has expressed interest in keeping the balloon garland, Mia Lee & Co Ltd will remove/destroy it upon collection.

Mia Lee & Co Ltd will try their best to replicate a balloon garland based on photos, however cannot guarantee that colours or the overall look will be exactly the same. The sizes of the balloons used and their positioning along with the length of the garlands can vary. Any added floral/flowers used in the garlands remain property of Mia Lee and Co Limited and these are placed into the garlands at our discretion.

Balloon Garlands placed in high temperatures can result in balloons popping from the heat, balloon garlands after becoming wet can result in the balloons sticking together.
